Founded in 1967 following the closure of the Sparks Drum & Bugle Corps, Santa Clara Vanguard is one of DCI's most successful organizations with seven World Championships. The corps was the only corps to appear as a finalist in every DCI World Championship until recently. Their 2018 championship show "Ouroboros" is widely regarded as one of the greatest shows ever performed on a DCI field.
